A Vision & A Mission
Goodness
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.” Matthew 5: 16
We encourage acts of service and generosity towards others, emphasizing humility and kindness. The environment is one of unity and harmony within the group. Our members not only enhance their musical abilities but also develop their character and a deeper connection to the Faith.
Truth
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship Him.” John 4: 23
We are committed to honesty, authenticity, and integrity as we convey our belief through music. Repertoire is carefully selected to reflect spiritual truths such as joy, love, suffering, and redemption that resonate with Catholic teachings.
Beauty
“The beautiful is a means of evangelization. I think it’s very important that we reclaim that part of our tradition. The beautiful leads by steady steps to the very source of Beauty: Oh, Heavenly God!” -Bishop Robert Barron
We embrace beauty as a gift from God and seek to share it with others in a spirit of joy and gratitude, acknowledging we have the power to uplift souls and inspire transcendent experiences.

Investing in Future Generations
Our children’s education fund supports cultivation of a rich spiritual foundation which instills Catholic values of faith, service, and reverence while reserving the sacred traditions of the Church. Such investment not only ensures the continuity of sacred music but also nurtures young hearts to become devout disciples, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of worship and community life.
Music Education
Students are trained using the Ward Method, Music Theory, Voice, Choral, and Instrumental instruction.
Community Service
Students serve their community through song and other outreach.
Outreach
St. Francis Music is actively engaged in the New Evangelization through community events which reach our brothers and sisters in the Shenendoah Valley and greater region. We hope to grow this mission through podcasts, online presentations, and bringing the Good Word to the world through technology.

Testimonials
❞
Saint Augustine teaches that “the one who sings, prays twice.” That is what our musicians at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish help us to experience. May God continue to bless their efforts!
Father Matthias Lusembo
Pastor, St. Francis of Assisi
❞
That [Allegri’s Miserere] was really something. It’s the best the choir’s sounded since the Roosevelt administration!
Mr. Jim Ridenour
Longtime St. Francis parishioner
❞
I really like choir because I feel like it has helped me grow musically. I like singing in front of people—everyone says it brings them a lot of joy, and I like making people happy! I’ve made friends through choir, and it helps us get to church more often because we are singing. I really feel like I’m doing something to help St. Francis and to serve God in Mass.

Youth Cantor, St. Francis of Assisi
